In their words — real owner voices

A few of the most up-voted, unedited takes from 2026 owner discussions — plus a full video review.

“At doctor appointments, they always take my BP right after I walk in, while we are talking. It's always around 140/85. If I take my BP at home under the same circumstances, it's about 140/85. If I sit quietly, no talking, no video or music playing, no need to go to the bathroom, it's about 118/75. So I think my BP monitor is fine. What's supposedly "white coat syndrome" is just improper technique.”
“Why oh why is it the FIRST thing they check? I've been fighting traffic, circling the parking garage, hustling to meet an appointment time, and making my way through the building maze. Why is NOW the time to check my BP? I always ask them to wait, or to check it again in the middle of the visit. It's always lower by then. Think, people.”
“My blood pressure is all over the place depending on what I'm thinking about.”
“Most nurses have no idea how to take BP. They immediately take the BP instead of allowing people to settle down and sit for 5 minutes. The talk and ask questions, they do not adjust your arm position. There is a certain amount of interpretation to contend with too. Why do they ask you what your blood pressure has been running before they take it? You know why, because they have no idea what they are doing. I trust my machine over a nurse any day.”
